Weekend Workshop - PAINT OCEAN WAVES, ROCKS, AND SEASHORE
- TIME: 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM
- WHERE: Mendocino Art Center, Mendocino Ca.
- CONTACT: 800-653-3328
- FEE: $165.00
This is a great class for beginners, returning
students, and all levels to discover how to make watercolor
paint itself. My method of working consists of two parts:
a wild, spontaneous phase, in which you will learn to create
texture that will give the illusion of water, waves, rocks,
trees; and a realism phase, in which you will learn to add
detail so the viewer’s eye will read the rest as reality.
This is such a fun class! Let go and watch how the paint and
water mix on their won and you will not get mud. Patricia
will teach techniques of painting on traditional watercolor
paper and a variety of smooth surfaces, including smooth board
and paper treated with gel medium, or gesso. Here’s
a chance to become the watercolor artist you’ve always
wanted to be.
